Sign of the Kingdom - Episode 4

George E. Kouri

The Sign of the Kingdom argues that the Olivet Discourse foretold the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, not the end of the physical world. Kouri presents this event as the end of the Old Covenant era and the establishment of Christ’s Messianic Kingdom. Jesus’ triumphal entry and cleansing of the Temple are portrayed as acts of judgment, while Josephus is cited to show that famines, earthquakes, false prophets, and other signs occurred within the apostles’ generation. The book ultimately emphasizes the present reign of Christ and the advance of His Kingdom through the New Testament Church.
